
About the Role
Role Overview:
The Script & Speech Writer is responsible for research-driven writing across political, public, and media content. This role focuses on producing clear, structured scripts and speeches aligned with current affairs and the broader editorial direction of Telugu Tribune and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct content research across politics, current affairs, and relevant public issues
2. Write speeches for public-facing communication as required
3. Write scripts for videos, digital content, and campaigns
4. Deliver two or more scripts per day, depending on requirements and timelines
5. Work closely with content associates, editors, and strategy teams to align messaging
Requirements
Mandatory
Strong knowledge of politics, current affairs, and subjects relevant to Telugu Tribune
Excellent written and spoken Telugu and English
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma
Working knowledge of MS Office
Demonstrated interest in reading books and long-form content, contributing to better context, language, and cultural awareness
Strong writing structure, clarity, and articulation
Additional Important Skills
Ability to quickly understand briefs and convert them into structured scripts
Strong research and fact-checking ability
Capacity to work under deadlines and handle multiple writing tasks
Experience
1-2 years (freshers with strong writing samples are acceptable)
